Set in the heart of York against the city's ancient walls, the Merchant Taylors Hall can accommodate 40 to 120 people for Funeral Teas or a Celebration of Life. It has a lovely garden and car parking spaces available to you, your family, and your guests.

As with all our events, our aim is to make your occasion run as smoothly as possible. From experience, finger food, cold buffets, or a full afternoon tea service suit funeral catering very well. Cold options allow a more flexible arrival time for guests and family. But we can also create hot buffets if required. We can provide you with a drinks package to suit your needs, from a complete bar to a drinks service.

We’re an accessible venue for wheelchair users, with free on-site parking (up to 10 spaces) and a car park with hundreds more spaces available only 400 yards away.
